Tejon Ranch's guided Wild Pig hunts include lodging, meals, transportation in the field, and care of your harvested game. You will arrive early in the afternoon of the first day of your hunt and be taken to camp where you will get your personal gear set, sight in your rifle, and be on a hunt that afternoon. The hunt continues the next day and concludes the third morning. You should plan on leaving camp by 11:00 a.m. that third day. We will provide one guide for every two hunters, and there will be 8 hunters in camp. If you want to have the camp exclusively for your group, there will need to be at least 6 hunters in the group. We generally only book a maximum of 8 hunters, but if you have more than eight in your group, give us a call and we will try to accommodate a larger number.
These hunts are a guaranteed opportunity for a reasonable shot, which is defined as a shot at a walking pig inside 100 yards or a shot at a standing pig inside 200 yards. If you miss the shot we will continue your hunt, however, you will not be eligible to return at no charge, if you do not harvest a pig. However, if we are not able to get you this type of shot, you will be rescheduled for an additional hunt at no additional cost. As with all of our hunts, if you wound a pig that we cannot retrieve, your hunt is over immediately. We will work diligently to recover any wounded game, but please do your part and practice shooting prior to your hunt. We feel as bad as you do when a wounded pig is not recovered. The best way to avoid this is to make a good fatal first shot.
Your hunt is complete when your harvested pig is retrieved and processed, even if that's prior to the end of your three days. The only way to ensure that you will be in camp for the full scheduled time of your hunt is to add the small game option.
