Looking for a different hunt? The Tejon Ranch Guided Varmint hunt might just be what you are looking for. You decide. will it be a bobcat, coyote or possibly a gray fox? They are all available here and this hunt will allow you to take one of each of these varmints.
The Guided Varmint hunts include lodging, meals, transportation in the field, and care of your harvested game. You will arrive early in the afternoon of the first day of your hunt and be taken to camp where you will get your personal gear set, sight in your rifle, and be on a hunt that afternoon. The hunt continues the next day and concludes the morning of the last day. You should plan on leaving camp between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. We will provide one guide for every two hunters and hunts are scheduled mid-November through late February.
The bobcat season is mid-October through late February. We will start the hunt by looking for fresh tracks and using calls. When a cat responds we will let the dogs take over to track and tree a bobcat. There's lots of excitement, with dogs barking and an incredible harvest. You must obtain a bobcat tag from the California Department of Fish and Game. These tags are not available at the ranch.
There is gray fox on the property. We will typically use the same method of spot and stalk as with the bobcat, using the dogs to tree the fox.
