New in 2010 In addition to our trophy bull elk hunts we will now be offering management bull hunts. These hunts will be structured the same as the trophy bull hunts with lodging, meals, transportation and care of game and they will be “guaranteed opportunity” for a reasonable shot. These bulls will typically be mature bulls that for whatever reason will not meet our minimum trophy bull requirement of 350 Boone and Crockett points. They will be mature, heavy horned animals that may have short tines or less than 6 point per side, or have short, missing or abnormal points. In all cases the “management” status of the animal will be determined by the guide, and while you can pass on any bull, doing so will satisfy the “guaranteed opportunity” requirement. Management buck hunts will also be offered on the same basis as the management bulls. The typical management buck will be heavy horned forked horn buck that is 4+ years old. Many will have wide spreads and would be trophies to most people. The “management” status of all animals will be determined by the guide, and while you can pass on any buck, doing so will satisfy the “guaranteed opportunity” requirement. |
