Pronghorn Antelope

The Pronghorn Antelope hunt is very limited in the number of animals harvested, but it is a classic spot and stalk antelope hunt in the wide open spaces of the southeast Antelope Valley portion of the ranch. This hunt includes meals, lodging, transportation in the field, and care of your harvested game. The only things not included are your personal gear, your long range shooting rifle and any adult beverages you may want to consume after the day's hunt.

Hunt openings are filled starting on January 1st of the hunt year and are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. The total amount is due at the time of application.

You will hunt one-on-one with your guide, who will take you to the areas of the ranch where the greatest opportunity for success exists. The goal is to harvest only older age mature bucks with a Boone & Crockett score of 70-80. In determining whether the hunter has had an "opportunity" to harvest, the guides will let you know when you are seeing acceptable bucks. Passing on these bucks will constitute an "opportunity." It will not end your hunt, but will determine whether your hunt would be continued into the following year.

The season here on the ranch runs from early September through the middle of October, and we will hunt with you for the number of days needed during this period to give you a reasonable opportunity to harvest a trophy buck. These are spot and stalk hunts that often require approaches of several hundred yards through terrain that is very flat with little vegetation.

The shot opportunities can be long, and if possible, you should have a flat shooting rifle sighted-in out to at least 300 yards. Before the hunt, you should spend extensive time practicing shooting at long ranges, as this will give you the best opportunity to harvest a trophy buck.

As with our other hunts, your tag is provided as part of your hunt fees.
